We produce our wines through almost carbonic macerations with mild sulphites. And through a production process that is as traditional as possible: with natural fermentations, without accelerators nor stabilizers, and aging in new barrels with excellent care.
Bodegas Hercal is located in a unique and exclusive enclave. It is full of history and it is located next to an old location of the city’s gate in the old wall of Roa, which date back approximately to 1300. Later in history, the old hermitage of Saint Dominic is now located on the same site, with its coat of arms and part of its medieval wall.
We also have an underground cellar excavated around 1800 and a dining room located in our grandfather’s old house with over a hundred years of history.
We have a variety of vineyards, from young vineyards at early ages, to vineyards with more than 75 years old, which give great structure and complexity to our wines.
